Join us in bringing relief to Nepal
Just recently, God opened the way for VisionTrust to begin the ministry of reaching the neediest children in Nepal. He also led us in hiring our first VisionTrust Nepal National Director, Buddhi Man Shakya.
Then, the earthquake hit—Nepal’s deadliest natural disaster in more than 80 years. We’ve all seen the devastating images and heartbreaking scenes. UNICEF reported that nearly 1 million Nepalese children urgently need assistance.
Our current focus is on the earthquake crisis. We will be sure to update Nepal’s country information in the near future.

On April 30, we stepped out in faith and asked you to join us in providing relief kits to 1,000 families affected by the earthquake in Nepal. We have great news—together we have reached 100% of the goal! We give praise to our Lord and thanks to you.
Because of your quick response, the VisionTrust team on the ground in Nepal has been able to deliver supplies to families in five remote villages. In three of these locations, the relief work is already transitioning to rehabilitation and development efforts: The communities have started to organize and create plans to rebuild and open new VisionTrust Learning Centers for their children.
The people are extremely thankful. No one else was coming to help them in their time of great need, and they want you to know how much they appreciate your love for them.
For the latest updates and progress reports on work being done in Nepal, visit the Nepal page on our blog. In addition, as we move into providing long-term development to the children in these communities, we will need people with a desire for deeper involvement to partner with us. Buddhi Man Shakya is our first VisionTrust Nepal National Director. We are excited to partner with him, both in helping during the earthquake crisis as well as our long-term plan to reach the neediest children in Nepal. Please pray for him, his family, and those they are serving in this crisis.
