New Facilities in Liberia
Prime System School of Christ is one of four VisionTrust projects in the country of Liberia. The school began in 1996 just outside the capital city of Monrovia. Despite the country’s tense 14-year civil war that ended in 2003, the school excelled, seeing a high percentage of students continue on to graduate high school. This ongoing success is due primarily to its excellent phonics program and focus on Christian education.
Our goal is to extend the school, offering classes through 12th grade, as well as leadership and vocational training programs designed to provide life skills for each child to be successful. Our goal is for school to begin in the new facility on July 1, 2012. Subsequent phases including the second floor, sports fields and landscaping will be completed in the following years.
- Provide the latest in high-tech/low-cost construction.
- One facility to accommodate all grade levels at 30+ students per classroom.
- Extend use of the facility as a community center, church or vocational training center.
