Liberia is a small country on the West Coast of Africa. This country is still recovering from a civil war that ended in 2003. War and government corruption led to the collapse of Liberia’s vital infrastructure, including healthcare, education and basic amenities, such as, electricity and clean water.

Our goal is to help the country rebuild from the inside out. To effectively do this, we must provide the children with a good education while showing them the love of Jesus Christ. We have found a group of local indigenous leaders who are working hard to do just that. Together we can raise up mature Christian leaders needed to rebuild the country of Liberia and provide the hope of Christ for generations to come.

New Facilities in Liberia

Prime System School of Christ is one of four VisionTrust projects in the country of Liberia. The school began in 1996 just outside the capital city of Monrovia. Despite the country’s tense 14-year civil war that ended in 2003, the school excelled, seeing a high percentage of students continue on to graduate high school. This ongoing success is due primarily to its excellent phonics program and focus on Christian education.

Our goal is to extend the school, offering classes through 12th grade, as well as leadership and vocational training programs designed to provide life skills for each child to be successful. Our goal is for school to begin in the new facility on July 1, 2012. Subsequent phases including the second floor, sports fields and landscaping will be completed in the following years.
