By working jointly with a Haitian pastor at Jimani, we have established a children's program.  This daily program includes songs, games, Bible stories, videos and fun learning activities for all the children at the Jimani project.  This program helps return a sense of normalcy to the lives of these children.

As many of the children are recovering from serious injuries, these activities have been selected to include children who are not yet able to run and play with their friends.

Because of  your support, VisionTrust is able to provide nutritious meals to the patients and families at the Jimani project who have been injured or displaced from the earthquake in January. To date we have  delivered; over 25,000 meals, water, a new stove and refrigeration equipment.  VisionTrust volunteers are working side by side with the Dominican government and volunteers to help deliver breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.

Financially: We still need an additional $27,000 to complete this work. Your help is needed for our continued success at Jimani.

What about teams to Jimani? We are currently staffing teams to Jimani with Dominicans and Haitians who live in the Dominican Republic, this allows us to quickly work through cultural and language differences.  Additionally this allows us to  dedicate as much funding as possible to direct care.  Though this project is not open for US teams, you can join other teams at http://www.visiontrust.org
