In a village where the main water source is a dirty well dug next to latrines and the death of children due to medical complications is common, VisionTrust has stepped in to help. Partnering with the Methodist Mission Society of Singapore, we will serve the children of Cambodia. This partnership brings resources from Cambodia, Singapore and the United States together to enable Cambodians to meet the physical, educational, emotional and spiritual needs of these children. Two different Learning Centers, as well as Andong Primary School are being used to give hope to more than three hundred children in the community.

A life transformed through education

Twelve-year-old Rameth used to stand outside the government school in Cambodia daydreaming of what it would be like to go to school. His parents had died of AIDS and he was often sick because of his HIV status. He knew that there was no way he could attend school because his grandmother, whom he lived with, would never be able to afford it. She was too old to work and had to rely on others for survival. They lived in the slum village of Andong and were so poor that meal-time always left him wanting more.

Recently, tears rolled down Rameth’s cheeks as he saw the good grades he earned on his 4th grade exams. He couldn’t believe it, he wasn’t daydreaming, this was a reality!

Through attending the VisionTrust school near his village, he has received more than an education. Rameth has come to believe in Jesus and is grateful to the Lord for the changes in his life. His health has improved dramatically because of the HIV medicine he receives along with nutritious meals.

Rameth is truly growing. Please join us in this transformational process.
