An advocate is someone who “speaks up for someone else." Our advocates are people just like you across the United States sharing God’s heart for oppressed children and asking others to get involved. Being an advocate can be as simple as writing a post on Facebook about VisionTrust children or telling a friend about the child you sponsor. Advocates are vital to our impact as a ministry, without them we cannot fully accomplish our mission of caring for orphaned and neglected children around the world.

Eric is a 2nd grade teacher who wanted to teach his students how to give to others. Eric asked each of his co-workers to put out a collection jar in their classroom and then invited over 1,000 students to bring in their pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters to help purchase desks for impoverished children in the Dominican Republic.

“Many of the students in our school are from low-income families, but they still have a lot to be thankful for”, Eric said. “The Change Drive was a great way to teach about poverty, giving and another culture all in one”.

Thanks Eric for being a part of VisionTrust in your day-to-day life as a teacher. Your Change Drive has impacted thousands of children, both in your school and in the Dominican Republic!
