Grace lives with her parents, who are both HIV positive, in the area of Katsekera southeast of Ntcheu. Her parents are often too sick to provide for Grace, so, even though she is young, she helps her parents clean, do dishes and gather firewood. The typical home is constructed from clay bricks, with a thatch or tin roof and a dirt floor. There is no plumbing, electricity or water. They get their water from a community well that is far from their home. Grace lives in an environment where illiteracy, alcoholism and HIV are common issues. Your sponsorship will make it possible for Grace to attend the learning center where she will receive tutoring, a nutritious snack and learn of Jesus' love for her. Grace attends church.
